Adventure and Scoutcraft

Hiking, Camping, getting out into the world and living in it. These are part of the adventure of scouting. There are different ways of exploring. Some troops explore air activities others are sea scouts and explore the seas around our coast. Most scouts learn about themselves through activities on the land, in the mountains, and around towns and cities.

Exploring is about knowing where you are, where you want to get to and knowing how to get there.

Scouts learn to find their way through obstacles of all kinds. Map reading and using a compass are helpful, as are activities such as the Jamboree n the Internet.

Camping is about self reliance, being comfortable with who you are and where you are. Scouting can help you learn to make yourself at home wherever you are.
